Making for quite the welcome surprise, Angelina Jolie was a hit as she visited Port-au-Prince, Haiti on Tuesday afternoon (February 9).

There to help out with the earthquake relief efforts, the “Wanted” actress headed over to an SOS village for orphans – welcomed by chants of “Angie! Angie!”

Always willing to lend her helping hand, Angelina Jolie has been named an angel by a Haitian charity chief for coming to the earthquake stricken country and continuing to help.

The actress is currently visiting the capital of Port Au Prince where the President of Haiti Children, Suzie Krabacher says, “I think Angelina is an angel for visiting the area and bringing more attention to all the work that still needs to be done in Haiti and I wish her the greatest success.” Krabacher and her husband Joe, started the charity in 1994 to reach to abandoned and mistreated children in the nation, but the earthquake has made it much harder to reach out.  Read more... After having some fun at the Super Bowl with partner Brad Pitt and son Maddox, Angelina Jolie has made her way down to Haiti.

The “Salt” actress is visiting the country as part of her UN goodwill ambassador job and was able to spend time with the natives.

Joined by their son Maddox Jolie-Pitt, the “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” costars looked to be having a great time as they made their way through Sun Life Stadium via a golf cart.

Putting the breakup rumors to rest, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were side-by-side at the 2010 DGA Awards on Saturday night (January 30).

While the lovely couple did their best not to be photographed together, they sat alongside one another at director Quentin Tarantino’s table for the annual awards ceremony.
